How is Belay different from Comparative Agility or AgilityHealth?
Belay is built for the coach as the day-to-day user — not for a consultant running an engagement. We're typically 4-8× cheaper per team once you're running a few teams, the AI does the synthesis work coaches do manually elsewhere, and we're evolving past pure surveys to correlate qualitative signals with delivery data from Jira and Linear.
Who is Belay for? Just Scrum Masters?
Three roles, three tiers. Scrum Masters running up to three teams ($20/mo flat). Agile coaches managing up to 10 teams ($80/mo flat, not per team). Engineering organizations running team-health programs across portfolios (Enterprise — contact us). The product is shaped around the coaching conversation, not the survey form.
How does the first month free work?
Your first 30 days are free, all features unlocked. We do collect a card at signup, but nothing charges until the free month ends — and you can cancel any time before then from the Customer Portal and owe nothing.
Are responses really anonymous?
Yes. Belay never stores the link between a response and the person who made it. Team names can also be anonymized to leadership (configurable per tenant — defaults to leadership-only). The whole point of an honest check-in is that people can be honest.
When is the Jira / Linear / GitHub integration coming?
It's the next major thing we're building, shipping as a paid add-on (Delivery Metrics Module). We'll pull velocity, cycle time, throughput, and review latency, and correlate those signals with your team-health read. Sign up for early-access notifications — first wave is small and concierge-onboarded.
What does setup look like?
5-10 minutes for a new workspace. Create your tenant, paste in your team list (or invite admins to map their own), pick a survey template (or build one), share the link with your team. First round of data can be in by the end of the week.
Can I export my data? What about lock-in?
Partly, and here is exactly how far. Any round exports to CSV from its results view — one file for scores (overall, every dimension, every question) and one for the written comments. There is no API yet, and no one-click export of a whole workspace: for that, email hello@belay.team and we will put it together for you. Your data is yours at every tier.
What about security and SOC 2?
TLS in transit, encryption at rest, strict tenant isolation, and role-based access on every endpoint at all tiers. We are not SOC 2 certified today — happy to walk your security team through our current controls.
